BASE: Fitness Studio Website with Online Class Booking

People join BASE for its trainers and the energy in the room, yet the old website gave a newcomer no easy way to see what was on or book a trial class. We built a dark, confident site and connected it to a working class-booking system, so a visitor can go from "this looks good" to "I'm booked for Thursday" on the same screen. Each trainer gets a profile page, and the schedule is fed from one central source so it stays correct without hand edits. What follows describes the deliverables, the process and the technology behind them.

Project Objectives

  • Remove the gap between finding the studio online and booking a trial class.
  • Give each trainer their own page, so a new member can choose a class based on who teaches it.
  • Show the class schedule in a way that stays accurate without anyone editing web pages by hand.
  • Design for the phone first, because most prospective members browse and book from one.
  • Convey the studio's atmosphere with photography and a design language that matches the classes.
  • Put a clear page structure in place so classes and trainers can be found through search.

What We Delivered

  • A responsive, mobile-first studio website with a dark-toned design language
  • An online class-booking system integrated into the site
  • Individual trainer profile pages with the classes each trainer leads
  • A class schedule that updates from a central source
  • Photography and content direction for studio and trainer imagery
  • Class and trainer pages with clear titles and headings so they can be found in search
  • A handover covering how to change the schedule and edit trainer content

How We Built It

1

Studio and audience research

We started by learning the studio's class formats, the trainer roster and the type of member BASE wants to attract. That decided which information goes first on the homepage.

2

Booking-first UX design

We designed the schedule and booking flow as the main route through the site rather than a feature added at the end. Every other page points back toward a class.

3

Development and integration

We built a fast site and connected it to the class-booking system from start to finish, from browsing the timetable to receiving a booking.

4

Content and launch

We organized trainer and studio photography, wrote the page structure for classes and coaches, and handed over an editable schedule. The studio can adjust timetables itself once the site is live.

FAQ

Short answers about this project.

A studio website with a working booking integration like this typically takes around two months. Getting the class list, trainer details and photography ready early keeps that timeline short.

A responsive Next.js site connected to a class-booking system, with a lightweight CMS for schedule and trainer updates, deployed on a cloud host with a CDN.

Yes. The site was designed mobile-first, and the booking flow is reachable within a couple of taps from the homepage.

The schedule is fed from a central source instead of being typed into web pages. When the studio changes a class time or adds a session, the website shows the new information without a developer.

At a studio like this, people often choose a class because of the coach. A profile page lets a newcomer see who teaches what before booking, which makes the first visit feel less like a leap.

Yes. A booking-first structure with trainer profiles suits gyms, yoga studios and other class-based wellness businesses. We adapt the booking tool, the schedule format and the design to each studio.
