Savelberg Restaurant: Bilingual Fine-Dining Website with Online Table Booking

Savelberg Restaurant is a fine-dining room, and its old web presence did not look like one. We built a bilingual (Thai and English) website where the photography, spacing and typography set the tone before anyone reads a line, then put the things guests actually come for, the tasting menu, the wine list and a booking button, one tap away. Behind the pages sits a content setup the kitchen and front-of-house team can edit themselves, plus an AI chatbot that answers menu and reservation questions at any hour. This page walks through what we delivered, how we worked and what the restaurant ended up with, from the viewpoint of someone running a dining room and someone maintaining a website.

Project Objectives

  • Replace an outdated or missing website with one that matches the restaurant's price point and the standard of service guests receive at the table.
  • Cut down on phone reservations by putting an online booking path on the homepage and within two clicks of every other page.
  • Present tasting menus, wine lists and seasonal dishes clearly in both Thai and English, so visiting guests and locals read the same quality of information.
  • Give the kitchen and the front-of-house team a content structure they can update on their own when the season or the menu changes.
  • Handle common guest questions about menus and bookings outside opening hours, without adding work for the staff.
  • Set up the technical and on-page SEO groundwork for Bangkok fine-dining searches, a crowded field where a slow or thin site gets buried.

What We Delivered

  • A fully responsive bilingual (Thai/English) website that reads well on a phone held at the dinner table and on a desktop at the office
  • A photography-led homepage and menu gallery, with image sizes tuned so large food photos still load quickly
  • Tasting menu, wine list and seasonal specials pages laid out so a guest can scan courses and pairings in under a minute
  • An online table reservation flow linked from the homepage and other key pages
  • A chef and brand story page written to be reused for press, PR and media enquiries
  • An AI concierge chatbot that answers menu and booking questions around the clock
  • An editable content structure with a short handover session, so menus and photos can be changed without a developer

How We Built It

1

On-site discovery

We spent time in the restaurant watching the pace of service, the plating and the way guests move through the room. Those observations shaped the layout and the choice of imagery, instead of us guessing from a mood board.

2

Information architecture

We listed every page a prospective guest needs: menu, reservations, location, the story behind the kitchen. Then we arranged them so each one is reachable in as few clicks as possible, with booking always in sight.

3

Build and integration

We built the front end, connected the reservation flow and tuned image delivery. A site made of large photographs still has to open quickly on mobile data, so this step got real attention.

4

Chatbot and content setup

We trained the AI concierge on the restaurant's own menu and booking information. We also set up the CMS so each course, wine and seasonal change has an obvious place to be edited.

5

Launch and handover

We launched the site and ran a short session with the team on updating menus and photos. They left able to keep the site current without calling us for every change.

Results

  • The new website launched on schedule and replaced a web presence that could not carry the restaurant's positioning.
  • Guests can reach the reservation flow within two clicks from every page, which reduces the number of bookings that have to go through the phone.
  • The restaurant changes seasonal menus and photos itself, with no developer in the loop for routine updates.
  • Thai and English visitors get the same quality of menu and wine information, laid out for easy reading.
  • The technical and on-page SEO groundwork is in place, ready to build on over time in fine-dining search terms.

FAQ

Short answers about this project.

A bilingual, photography-led restaurant website like this typically takes two to three months, from the first visit to launch. The main variable is how quickly the photography and menu copy are finalized, so having those ready early is the best way to keep the schedule short.

The site is built with Next.js on the front end and a headless CMS for content. It runs on cloud hosting with a CDN so the photos load quickly, and it has a dedicated table reservation integration plus an AI chatbot for guest questions.

Yes. Menus, wine lists, seasonal dishes and photos are stored in a CMS with a simple editor, and we run a short handover session so the kitchen and front-of-house team know where each item lives.

Yes. Every page exists in both languages, and the content is structured so the two versions stay in step. That helps tourists and expats find the menu in English while local guests read it in Thai.

It answers common questions about the menu and about reservations at any hour, so guests get an answer without waiting for someone to pick up the phone. It works from the restaurant's own information, and anything outside that is passed back to the team.

Yes. Menu-first navigation, a booking flow, bilingual content and an optional AI concierge suit other fine-dining rooms and multi-location F&B brands. We adjust the layout, the booking tool and the content structure to each restaurant.
